Cape Coral
The Venice of Florida
Cape Coral is one of the most remarkable waterfront cities in the United States — a community built around more than 400 miles of navigable canals, giving it more canal mileage than any other city in the world. Locals call it the Venice of Florida, and for good reason. Every neighborhood has direct water access, making Cape Coral the ultimate home base for boating in Southwest Florida.
From Cape Coral, the entire Gulf Coast opens up. The Caloosahatchee River runs along the city’s southern edge, connecting the canal system directly to the Gulf of Mexico and putting destinations like Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach, and Lovers Key within a short boat ride. Whether you’re chasing a beach day, a waterfront lunch, or a sunset cruise through the canals, Cape Coral is where you want to be on the water.
Cape Coral Charter Boats has been helping visitors explore Southwest Florida by boat since 2010. Our fleet departs directly from Cape Coral, giving you immediate access to the region’s most popular boating destinations — no trailering, no marina fees, just show up and go.
Most of the streets above the Cape Coral Parkway are simply numbered, and the roads in the area Yacht Club have street names. Two main roads divide the four quadrants.
The Santa Barbara Boulevard divides the city into East and West, Pine Iceland Road divides the city between north and south.
Cape Coral is one of the fastest growing cities in Florida. Many of the lots have direct access to Pine Island Sound and the Caloosahatchee River.
